PROMETRA International Celebrates Africa Day 2019

All of the national chapters of the PROMETRA International network celebrate 2019 Africa Day. Africa Day is an annual celebration of African unity and marks the foundation of the Organization of African Unity (now the African Union) in 1963. For many people across Africa and around the world, it is a time to remember the struggles against colonialism and apartheid and look to the future. After centuries of domination, oppression, enslavement and slave exploitation, Africa woke up and became aware of its strength and the underlying force behind that strength: its dignity in unity. Africa is a continent of people, cultures, riches, strengths and wisdom. PROMETRA International works to protect and preserve the ancient traditional knowledge and medicine of our African continent.
